Who is responsible for your information
This service is operated by KMBFS Accountants and Tax Practitioners, a practice based in Roodepoort, South Africa. The practice is responsible for the personal information you give us here. You can reach us through the Contact page.
What we collect, and why
We collect only what the affidavit needs: your full name and identity number, your role in the enterprise, the enterprise's registration details and address, its financial year end, the ownership percentages you declare, and an email address so we can reach you. We also store the finished document.
We use it to prepare your B-BBEE sworn affidavit, to give you the finished document, to answer you when you contact us, and to keep a record of the document we issued.
Who receives it
The service providers that host this application and deliver our emails, who act only on our instructions. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Processing outside South Africa
Some of those providers store information outside South Africa. Where that happens we rely on your consent by using the service, and we require those providers to protect your information to a standard equivalent to South African data protection law.
How long we keep it
A draft is temporary: it expires within two hours if you do not finish, and it is cleared when you complete, discard or sign out of the application. A completed affidavit is kept as our record of the document we issued. We delete it when you ask us to, once the reason we held it has fallen away.
How it is protected
Affidavits are held in private storage, never on a public link, and are reachable only through links that expire shortly after they are issued. Your affidavit is visible to you, and to the administrators who issue it.
Trackers and analytics
We do not run advertising trackers or profiling analytics on this application, and we do not send your details or document links to any analytics service. A sign-in session token is used only to keep you signed in.
Your rights
You may ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and you may object to how we use it. Ask us through the Contact page and we will respond within a reasonable time. You may also complain to the Information Regulator, the body that oversees data protection law in South Africa.
Changes to this notice
If the way we handle your information changes, this notice changes with it, and the date above tells you when it last did.
